Scarlette's Creations blog, using Cricut digital collections in the Classroom and Scrapbooks

Our digital collections come just like this (as seen above) and you just scratch off the code, log into your Cricut account and redeem the code! It's that simple! Hello USA Digital Collection is a part of our Country Collections so let's say you're honeymooning in New Zealand or Australia, you can pick up that one! Or maybe you're originally from Canada or have friends from there and you want to surprise them!?!? **FYI, the Hello USA Digital Collection is great for teaching kids geography! Plus it includes the Puerto Rico Flag and the flag of the United States of America! Are you a Teacher, or a part of #CricutInTheClassroom this would be perfect for any age student!

#Texas #CricutMade #Geography

I created this single page layout for my travel album, or as a divider within my scrapbook... it features the State, the State flower, and the state flag, which I designed... when you purchase Hello USA from me, as a Thank You, I'll send you the entire DS cut files for FREE!

Flags perfectly sized for CTMH Exclusive Flip Flaps and your 4x6 photos!

Both state pages, Colorado and Texas, were designed to include a replica of the State flag, and as you can see in the video above, you add your flip flap to your page protector, and then you've got room for at least three 4x6 photos! Of course with our flip flaps it makes it as easy as mud pie to add as many photos to your layout as you like! :)

So, not only was I a part of the 250 attendees of bloggers, influencers and consumers that were invited to such an exclusive event, but after the huge announcement of the new Cricut Maker, the CEO, Ashish Arora, told all of us during the closing ceremonies that we would ALL get a FREE Cricut Maker delivered to our home before in-store availability!

Prickly Pear Friday Freebie

I created this card for our new Seasonal Expressions 2 Launch.  The paper pack used is the newly released Prickly Pear Collection. After all the recent freak snow/hail storms I decided I needed something bright and cheery! YAY!! What do you think of these colors? They just screamed Spring, Summer and Birthday to me! I wanted to go for something a little Gender Neutral, so it didn't scream GIRL!!!  (Although you know I'm the epitome of "Girly Girl"... love me some pink and red!!) So, this was stepping out of my creative box for a bit.

Not to mention it was getting close to Cinco de Mayo; you know, the day after the infamous and now drawn out with ridiculous memes for "May the 4th be with you".  Here's a close up of both the outside (seen above) and the inside (featured below) of the card I created. After moving to the Midwest/Rockies/Ski Country... Cinco de Mayo just isn't the same... Oh yeah, it's celebrated here, but not like they celebrate in Texas! Ha! Margarita specials go on EVERYWHERE there... here, yeah, they say they're celebrating, but restaurants here know nothing about running appetizer and drink specials, oh well... we've got snow! LOL

I used 2 different stamp sets, Fiesta Time (C1681) and the one that comes as a Bonus with the

So now that you've seen the card front and inside sentiments, let's take a closer look at just how this card was created...

Below you'll see the start of my creative process. Color, color, color... Yes, as a Copic enthusiast and Certified Designer, and the little girl in me, I had to color these margaritas to look as yummy as possible. I'm still in school for Illustration, so I love to try different coloring mediums, and it just so happens that Close To My Heart also carried professional alcohol markers! Shin Han Art Touch Twin markers, just like Copic markers, are also used by all kinds of artists, including Manga artists and Pixar/Disney artists (storyboards... everything else is digital of course)

Colors use to color the lime margaritas are:

First I stamped and heat embossed the image with Versamark and Ranger Princess Gold Ultra fine embossing powder, colored the image, and just for another "true" added affect, I added Liquid Glass to create that epoxy/glass look! (Besides I'm not a fan flat images... needs dimension!)

You'll find the Cricut Design Space files I created below.  Comments are greatly appreciated! I ask that if you do use my files or refer to them, please tag me on social media or send your crafting buddies back to my original blog post so they can download them for themselves.

City Sidewalk Cricut Card and Friday Freebie

I'm so excited to be able to share my latest creation with you!  As a Close To My Heart Consultant, I have the opportunity to be able to create projects before the new release date for customers and I love it!

With our most recent Holiday Expressions Idea Book, from the moment I saw we had sentiments in different languages (Not just English, but now French and Spanish also!! YAY!), I KNEW I had to create a Christmas card! Especially after seeing the new City Sidewalks Paper Collection and the coordinating Digital Cricut Collection as well!  Take a look below:

Very Merry - D1694

CTMH Consultant Elise Sosa French Stamp Christmas
Very Merry (French) - D1694F

CTMH Consultant Elise Sosa Spanish Stamp Christmas
Very Merry (Spanish) - D1694S

So of course you have to see the Cricut Collection as well!

I've decided to go ahead and offer my card to you as this weeks' Friday Freebie especially since I've had the flu the past 2 weeks! I really had fun creating this for you!  I've designed it so that you can basically get 4 cards from the project using one sheet of paper each (most of them you only need a 12"x5" piece of B&T or Cardstock; with the exception of Lagoon... Lagoon is your card base/topper measured in 4"x5.25" but if you have Cricut Design Space, it'll cut all four from one sheet)

Christmas Card CTMH Close To My Heart Consultant Elise Sosa Handmade Handstamped Maker

When you open the Cricut Design Space cut file, the grey (gray) pieces are to be cut from your patterned paper (or CTMH City Sidewalks B&T Paper of your choice) the only other thing that you'll need to create this card is the Shimmer Tape in the color of your choice... or you can cut it from Red Glitter Paper

Supplies Used:
City Sidewalks B&T Paper
City Sidewalks Coordinating Cardstock
Red Shimmer Trim
Cricut Digital Collection - City Sidewalks
White Cards and Envelopes Value Pack
Black Memento Ink
Peacock Inkpad
Shin Han Twin Touch Marker - Carmine
Shin Han Twin Touch Marker - Sap Green
